How to play Woo Monster — Kids Edition
A monster-sized twist on Sequence — outsmart your opponent and be the first to get four in a row! 🐲
Goal
Be the first player to make a sequence of 4 of your own coins in a row.
Players: 2
Set up
- Unfold the Woo Monster game board and place it in the centre.
- Each player picks their monster-shaped coins.
- One player shuffles the cards and deals 3 cards to each player, face down. Look only at your own cards. Set the rest aside as the draw pile.
How to play
- Pick one of your 3 cards, place it face up on your discard pile, and ask your opponent to do the challenge written on it.
- Once they complete the challenge, place your monster coin on the matching picture on the board.
- Draw a new card from the pile to end your turn — you always hold 3 cards.
Every picture appears twice on the board, so you can use either space as long as it isn't already covered. Once a coin is placed, your opponent can't remove it — unless they play a Trident Terror.
Special cards
- Trident Terror (2 in the deck): place it on your discard pile and remove one of your opponent's coins from the board. That's your turn — and you can't put your own coin on that space this turn.
- Love Sprite (2 in the deck): place it on your discard pile and put one of your coins on any open space. That completes your turn.
Trident Terror and Love Sprite pictures are not on the board.
Free spaces
The four corners are free spaces. They count as your coin for every player, so a sequence using a corner needs only 3 of your own coins. More than one player can use the same corner. Never place coins on the corners.
Winning
The first player to complete a sequence of 4 wins! 🏆
